Energy Assessments |
Kedco NI Add Energy Performance Assessment s To Their Product PortfolioFrom July 1st 2008 it has become a legal requirement for all homes sold in Northern Ireland to have an Energy Performance Assessment (EPC) carried out before a sale can take place. An EPC shows the energy rating of a property. The certificate provides a rating for the property, showing its energy efficiency on a A-G scale ("A" being the most efficient and "G" the least efficient). A registered assessor can then make recommendations of improvements that can be made to your home. The EPC rating is determined through information collected about the property by the Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) during the assessment of the property. Some areas that are looked at include but not limited to; the heating systems and controls, loft and wall insulations, window types, the amount of energy efficient light bulbs, the age and type of the property is also taken into account.
Depending on the size of the property the assessment takes on average an hour to complete. Contact our office in Banbridge for more details on (+44) 28 40628803 |
