Our Market
The UK Government has made a clear commitment to increasing the deployment of renewable energy throughout the UK. They are especially focusing on the electricity, heat and transport sectors. This commitment is set out in their Renewable energy roadmap produced by the Department of Energy and Climate Change.
Biomass electricity is both predictable and controllable and so can be used for both baseload or peakload generation. Energy from waste has the added advantages that it reduces the amount of waste sent to landfill by extracting value from biomass at the end of its useful life. This reduces methane emissions from landfill sites.
Kedco is ideally positioned to actively pursue opportunities in the conversion of biomass waste into electricity and heat.
Waste is a major contributor to methane emissions and, if not managed properly, can harm our environment and damage communities. Waste can also be a source of renewable energy, and a source of valuable materials to enable a more sustainable use of our material resources.
