Project Pipeline

Kedco is focused on the generation of electricity and heat through renewable sources, specifically waste to energy conversion via anaerobic digestion and gasification.

Other potential projects where planning or feedstock is available:

  • Clay Cross, Derbyshire, England: 8MW gasification plant and 1MW anaerobic digestion plant
  • Southern England: 4MW gasification plant
  • Rutland: 1.3MW anaerobic digestion plant
  • Scotland: 4MW gasification plan

The total potential output of these near term projects and the Newry and Enfield plants is circa 34.3MW. Including other projects in Kedco's pipeline could be circa 97MW.

The government supports energy from waste as a waste recovery method through a range of technologies, and believes there is potential for the sector to grow further.
